From the backstreets and bustling bazaars of Kathmandu to the runways of New York Fashion Week and the wardrobes of the world’s most influential tastemakers, CC Skye built a fashion empire on instinct, irreverence, and an uncanny eye for predicting the hottest new trends.
Equal parts creative visionary and entrepreneur, CC Skye built a brand that helped define an era of accessories—and established a design language that continues to resonate in fashion today.
Dubbed “Hollywood’s Hottest New Designer” by In Touch and praised by Fashion Trade, Women’s Wear Daily as “Consistently ahead of the trends,” Skye emerged as one of the defining accessories designers capturing a coveted balance of forward-facing edge with timeless elegance through a singular fusion and a charged tension between sophistication and rebellion.
During a six-month immersion journey through Nepal, Skye moved through the backstreets and bustling bazaars of Kathmandu, studying Hindu and Buddhist traditions and living with a shaman in the Himalayan foothills while filming a documentary. Working alongside local seamstresses, she began designing clothing and jewelry, developing an enduring fascination with traditional metalwork, ornamentation, and the transformative power of adornment. It was an unlikely beginning for a future fashion powerhouse—and an eye opening experience that would shape her design sensibility for decades to come.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, Skye immersed herself in the worlds of fashion forecasting and entertainment, identifying emerging trends for international forecasting firms while producing fashion and music documentaries. During a hiatus from television production, she apprenticed with a downtown Los Angeles jewelry craftsman, refining the technical discipline required to translate her creative vision into form.
